Rivera Family: February

February was a busy month for us, we had two birthdays for the nieces and nephews and State Swimming and Diving. I know that doesn't sound like much but we were gone about a week to a week and a half total out of the month which is quite a bit for us. The first half of the month was slow, i had homework but other than that we didn't have a whole lot we HAD to do.

On the 18th we went to Colorado Springs for my nephew Logan's 1st Birthday. We had a lot of fun, except for the part where i still had an awful cough which would make me throw up occasionally. We got to see Jesse and Mallory's house all finished, which was nice since we hadn't seen it since their was just a sub-floor, Kills on the floor, and old white dingy paint on the walls. It's looks so nice now, Jesse did an amazing job. I also got to see his old house that he finally got finished, and it looks good too! On Saturday we celebrated Logan's birthday, and man did that little guy rake in the toys, clothes, and stuffed animals! And i thought Rylee got a lot for her Birthday! Well after opening presents we had cake and watched Logan literally dive into his cake face first, which was hilarious. Well maybe not dive but he did eat it without his hands which made for a funny video! The next day we put Rylee and Logan in Logan's new Lightening McQueen power wheels and taught them to drive around the living room. It was pretty cute.

We got home from Colorado Springs, and then Ryan left for Boys State Swimming and Diving on Wednesday and i followed on Thursday. So we were home two days before leaving again, and let me tell you a baby off their schedule for 4 days and then be home for 2 and turn around and leave again for another 4 is not so much fun. Anyways the trip was interesting to say the least. We had some ups like Shawn Kim (Ryan's top Diver) taking 3rd at state and Ryan's brother Shawn taking 5th! It was a good day considering all Ryan's divers made it into the finals, and Shawn Rivera podiumed! We also had some downs like Rylee falling and busting open her bottom lip on the bleachers.

After State we drove over to Buffalo for Chloe's 3rd Birthday and stayed there for two nights. The first night however Rylee fell down the stairs from the top. It was the worst sound i have ever heard. She bruised her nose which is still a light green today, she scraped the top of her head real good, she cut her top lip, and had a bloody nose. I bawled, so did Ryan later that night when we realized how far up she got before she fell. I was glad that if it had to happen that Jenni was there so i could bombard her with questions like "will she stop breathing in the middle of the night" (her nose was swollen). Luckily no broken bones no major injuries.

On Sunday we had Chloe's Birthday party. She got many princess things since that is Chloe's favorite stuff. She also got a game, a sleeping bag, toy food to go with her kitchen she got for Christmas, and a ballet outfit. For Chloe's mom not being girly girly Chloe sure is. Jenni made a cute cake that was really yummy (Yay Jenni), and we had ice cream before we had to leave to come home.
