4 Month check up and First Solids

So last Tuesday Rylee had her four month check up. She weighted 16 lbs 3oz and the Dr said she was the size of a six month old in height and weight and her head was the size of a ten month old. Top 90Th percentile in everything and 95Th percentile on her head specifically. So what that means is we a have a big baby. Dr said no matter what size the child is now most all children end up being about the same size by 18 to 24 months of age. Rylee also got her shots, she was a little fussy for the first day or so but then it went away quickly, much faster than the first time she got shots.

We took Mr Teddy so she wouldn't be as scared to get shots!

So because of Rylee being ahead in size and the fact that her formula already has rice solids in it we were allowed to start her on rice cereal this last week. So far I haven't found a good routine. Sometimes she's really hungry and it's good to give her some formula first and other times she's more patient and will sit through eating the cereal which inevitably takes longer because she spits half the bite out because she's not used to solids. So we're still working on a routine but other than that she eats a small amount i would say 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup of cereal every night before bed and she actually eats most of the cereal instead of it all ending up on her face, bib, and hands. Here are a few pictures from her first day on solids.

Mothers Day

I recently celebrated my first Mothers Day. It was a lot of fun we went to church that morning, and listened to a good sermon. After that we came home had lunch and went bowling with my mom and dad. We also went to Olive Garden that night and i threw my diet out the window for the day and had a great meal and a wonderful dessert black tie mouse cake. My little girl slept pretty much through the whole dinner. She is such a good baby! It also helps that she was exhausted from her schedule being thrown off for two days.

So Rylee turned 4 months old today. It feels so strange to think that a year ago i had just found out that i was pregnant and now i have this wonderful, beautiful baby girl. I don't even remember what i did before her, but sleep. I took some recent pictures of her yesterday that i absolutely love. I had purchased a few bows at Wal Mart the day before and i just love them on her. I am making some blankets for people here soon i will post some pictures when i get done.

Graduation!

So Ryan graduated this last Saturday! It's been a long stressful time. It's seems like yesterday that he started at UW and now he's graduated. On Saturday i all got up bright and early and headed to Laramie to watch Ryan walk. Then we headed back to our house in Cheyenne for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun! We had 16 people sleeping at our house for two days which was interesting but fun it worked thanks to a 4 bedrooms and a giant family room which we have yet to furnish. Hoping to do so this summer assuming that we stay here which we would really like to.
