Rylee Berry Rivera

Well on Monday January 11th I had a doctors appointment, and found out that I had Bronchitis. I was so tired of not sleeping because I couldn't stop coughing, and I was getting less sleep than I am now that she is here. So when my Doctor asked if I was interested in inducing I didn't think twice about saying yes and the sooner the better. Needless to say I was headed into the hospital at ten the next morning to be induced. All in all the labor lasted 15 1/2 hours, and was a lot different than I had expected. I knew that inducing would be a lot tougher but I thought that if it got to bad I could get an epidural. Well my labor got started and I decided that I would like an epidural, and I waited for the anesthesiologist about 20 minuets. When he showed up I was relieved until it took two hours, about 12 needle pokes, and an epidural that only worked for about a half and hour before it quit working. So my original plan of natural childbirth was really my only option at this point. I'm not going to say it was easy by any means, but in the end it was all worth it. I was very groggy when she was born because any chance they would let me I would get another shot of pain killers, so my daughter was pasted around while I passed out until the nurse woke me up to feed her. I really got to connect with her when everyone went home and Ryan went to sleep because she started to cry so I picked her up and tried to feed her, but all she wanted was to fall asleep on me. I really enjoyed that!
