Baby Update

Well we are almost to the end of this pregnancy, and we'll get to meet our little boy. I am currently 36 weeks along, and officially in the ninth month with four weeks until my due date. At my last appointment i had my fifth ultrasound (this one was just to check growth), and it showed that he is boarder line too small around his tummy. Not really a cause for concern, but i have another ultrasound on the 22nd to make sure there aren't any other measurements that are small. The reason they are checking for other measurements is because if a baby is going to have a growth problem it usually shows first in the tummy measurement. But other than a small tummy right now he is perfectly fine and there aren't any other issues to be concerned about. I am feeling fine as well, I am just waiting patiently because i would prefer to go into labor naturally this time. Well i will keep our site updated a bit more since my classes are finished, so check back in a few weeks time and i should have some more information for y'all. Ta Ta for now.

Spring

Well so far this spring we haven't done a whole lot because Ryan is working and i had school. Recently i finished my first and last semester with a full coarse load. I passed everything but i had underestimated how hard it would be to had a 2 year old who gets sick of being in the house, and me going to school which constantly has me tied to the computer. Any ways i will be taking lighter coarse loads over more semesters until i graduate. I really wanted to get my degree finished ASAP, but adding another baby on top of a 2 year old i don't think i could handle another semester like this one.

Papa was trying to teach her to roll down the hill. She didn't like it.

So on a different note we were able to take Rylee to her first carnival recently. I wasn't able to take her on any rides because of being pregnant, but my mom got a kick out of going with her so we let her take her on all the rides. Neither one of us (Ryan or I) really like carnival rides so we were happy to not have to go on any of the rides. We started her off on the marry go round and she loved it as well as the kids roller coaster. We only let her on rides that an adult could go with her on, because if she got scared we were thought she might try to get off the ride while it was still going so we'll save that for next year.

We also just recently bought her a little pool to play in the yard with. She is so scared of sprinklers we can't coax her to even stay outside when one it on. We're hoping when she sees other kids playing in them that she will get over this fear. For now she can enjoy her pool time, and i enjoy it because she gets worn out and sleeps real well.

Easter

Well since i last posted i think Easter is about the only big things that has happened with us. Once again we went to Riverton for the super short weekends that we get now that it takes us one day of traveling just to get to and from Riverton. So anyways we left Friday after Ryan got off school, and we were up in Riverton late at night, but at least we were there for the Easter egg hunt on Saturday. It was much more calm this year (at least in Rylee's age group). Last year it was like parents shoving their kids at the eggs, and i was afraid Rylee was going to get trampled so we stayed behind and picked up the leftover candy. This year it was much more calm and people allowed their kids to move at their own pace which was nice because Rylee got to explore and get the hang of hunting Easter eggs without the mad dash of parents shoving their kids at the eggs and candy. Later that day we went to Levi (Ryan's cousin) and Maria's baby shower/BBQ and had some yummy food and got to see some of the family. Ryan also was able to go to golfing that weekend, even though he was sick. We have had some awful colds this spring and over Easter Ryan had a cold and gave it to me so Easter day was kind of miserable for me. This cold was one of those that makes your whole body hurt so all of my joints were already sore and then to add the cold on top of that was just sucky! Anyways Easter was fairly short because we had to leave early because we had to drive back to Colorado Springs which is a 7 hour trip when we make only gas stops and we had planned to stop and let Rylee play, but ended up scratching that because we were running late. So anyways we had a fussy child by the time we got back to the house and i was very happy to let her out and run around.

Waiting for the hunt to start

Dying eggs. She understood a little more this year as to what she was supposed to do.

Catching Up

So i know it's been nearly 6 months since I've posted, but we have been very busy. I'm not going to fill you in on every little detail as i usually do because that would be way to long of a post. I promise to try to post more often it's just so hard to justify updating a blog over doing homework.

In the beginning of October we found out i was in fact pregnant after about two weeks of negative tests, one finally turned positive. I took a few more just to be sure and they were all positive. I had my first appointment and wasn't as far along as i had thought, so i two ultrasounds in that second month of pregnancy. Since then I've had my 20 week ultrasound and we found out we are having a BOY! We are very happy to be blessed enough to have a daughter and a son. Next week i will be going in for a fourth ultrasound because we have a wiggle worm in there and he wouldn't hold still long enough to see his face or heart, which they want to check. This is something they typically do at the 20 week ultrasound and just couldn't see so there isn't any reason for alarm.

About 5 Weeks along, 9 1/2 weeks, 19 weeks respectively

We had a good holiday season and were spoiled by our families with company, food, and gifts. We stayed here in Colorado Springs for Thanksgiving and it was very good. Ryan fried the turkey which as unhealthy as it sounds makes the turkey so juicy and great. For Christmas we were up in Riverton for about a week and a half. We spent several nights playing cards and eating yummy food at Grandma Treese's which we really enjoyed. Rylee loves being around her cousins on Ryan's side and they are so good to her since she is so much younger than most of them.

In January Rylee turned 2! We had a great party with lots of family and friends who made the trek down here to Colorado Springs. She got  many great gifts and baby dolls, she is such a little copy cat and loves roll playing with her babies. We also got to see James who just got back from a year long deployment. We were very excited to see the whole Foley family together and had a great time playing games, and making yummy food (thanks for the great donuts James!).

Also i started back to school in January, which is the first time I've been a full time student since i was pregnant with Rylee. I wish i could say it was an easy transition back into 12 credit hours, but unfortunately it's been difficult and i think i may need to pull back to only 9 credit hours next semester. We will have to see how this summer goes with two little ones, and see where we end up next year. Also taking classes online is convenient, but by no means is it easier.

Well that's my synopsis of the last 6 months so we will have to see how school goes, but hopefully i will be back to post more sooner than later. :)
