BBQ at G&G Treese's

So the same weekend that we were in Jackson we stopped by on the way back through Riverton to go to Grandma and Grandpa Treese's BBQ. All eight of their kids were there which was the first time that had happened in thirty some odd years. It was fun to see everyone and meet Debbie's (Ryan's mom) older sisters Peg and Karen, whom I'd never meet before (well i meet them two weeks before at the lake, but close enough). Ryan and i had a good time and Chloe (Jenni and Chad's little girl) loved to play with Rylee. I think Marshall (Chloe's little brother) is just not to the playing stage yet so she likes to interact with Rylee since she can sort of play with her. It was a fun weekend!

Jackson Hole

Last weekend Ryan had a swim/diving meet in Jackson, and i thought it would be fun to go and watch and do a little shopping since it had been before we were even engaged since i had been there. It was a pretty fun trip. I got all of us red Jackson hold sweat shirts, which i hope to get some family pictures taken in if fall ever decides to show up. Mom and I ate at some neat little restaurants and walked all over the square. However i did find out that Jackson is not a baby friendly down. They had stairs everywhere, the isles in the stores were narrow making it hard to push a stroller through, and when we went to eat lunch at the Cadillac Grill i had to put Rylee across the isle from us instead of next to the table since they put us at a booth right by the kitchen door. That was really frustrating. My mom had a good point though, most of Jackson is geared to the outdoorsy type so those people going to Jackson mostly likely wouldn't have little kids with strollers. All and all it was a good trip.

She's learned to blow raspberries now and i just caught her doing one

August!

So i know i said this about July but August came and went like that (snap of the fingers). Well first of all this summer has pretty much sucked! Yes we had some fun times but it felt so strange not doing our normal summer routine. Ryan was gone most of the summer working for my dad and with my brother on houses in Colorado Springs. I stayed home so that our house didn't get broken into again. That wasn't so much fun i stayed up half the night for the first week that Ryan was gone going over scenarios about if someone broke in i would grab Rylee then get the gun, or would i get the gun to protect Rylee first. UGG I hated that first week in the house by myself at night it was awful. Ryan also got sick of being away from home all the time and not seeing Rylee or me for anywhere from a week to almost two weeks at a time. I think all and all Ryan and Rylee & I spent five to six weeks of the summer apart. Then when we were together we couldn't really afford to go anywhere like the lake or just a small vacation to somewhere for a day or two which is what we normally do in the summer. Rylee was too young to do fireworks this year so we stayed in on the 4th. So yeah enough of my poor me rambling about this summer just putting it out there that this summer wasn't quite how we planned it.

On another note Ryan started coaching diving in August about a week before school started. So far he likes it. Central has a piece of equipment that help you learn dives and it's called a belt. Basically you don't hold the diver up in the air while they are learning the dive you just assist them a little so they aren't coming down as fast. Well at first he thought that would be a good thing because we never had a belt when we dove and thought that it would be useful. Boy we're we wrong... the girls got to where they were dependent on the belt even though Ryan wasn't assisting them anymore. They were doing the dive all on their own, they just wouldn't do it without the belt. Other than that glitch i think everything is going better. The girls are little different that Ryan remembers coaching. By different i mean they are a lot more afraid than Monica, Brandi, or I when we dove, so he's having a hard time understanding why they won't just try something. Honestly i don't understand either. Ryan and i think there is a definite diving mentality and it's oh so obvious when you don't have it.

Ryan also started teaching in August. On his first day the principle complimented him on already having the kids doing activities, so that's a good start I'd say. Ryan is only a part time teacher currently, but the school he is at has so many kids because parents have been transferring there kids since the other Jr. Highs had lower test scores last year, Ryan may get more classes and get bumped up to full time (cross your fingers)! This would be nice for us to get bumped up in pay too! :)

Well i know this post is long but i guess a lot more happened in August than i thought. I also started back to school to finish an Associates. Yes i know I'm only finishing an Associates, but i couldn't make up my mind while i was at UW, so i have about 87 credits in about two or three different areas. Now I'm just trying to finish up by associates this semester and then when i figure out what i want a degree in i can go back and not have to worry about my credits expiring. After this semester i'm hoping to start flight school in January to become a pilot. I'll have to do this in chunks because it costs almost as much as getting a BA, which i plan on doing when i find the right school with the right degree. But i'm pretty much excited, we live just a few blocks from the end of the runway here so i see planes landing and taking off all day and it just makes it so hard not to go sign up for lessons right then and there.

As for Rylee she has started to sit up on her own now. It's so nice to be able to take her to Walmart and not have to bring in the carrier because i can just sit her in the cart or stroller depending on the amount of shopping. She does so well too. She just sits and looks at everything that goes by and try's to play with whatever i put in the cart. She has started this whining phase where she just whines sometimes no matter what i do, and especially when i walk out of the room. Oh my goodness does she not want mommy out of her sights! I always liked that she would go to anyone easily but now we've just started to enter a clingy phase. I like that she wants me i just wish she'd want me a little less every now and then so i could get things done with out her getting mad. But all in all she's still a really good baby.

Well i think that's all for now. Sorry for such a long post I'll try to update more often from now on!
